Weiser Senior and Community Center reopens for lunch after closure that lasted five months

Rita Shaw and Lorraine Hendry were glad to see the Weiser Senior and Community Center reopen on Monday after the COVID-19 pandemic closed it five months ago.
 For Shaw, Hendry, and many other seniors, the weekday lunch at the center is more than a meal. It is the opportunity to socialize for an hour or two and get out of the house.
 “Yes, we missed it and we’re glad to be back,” Hendry said.
 There were only a dozen seniors at the center on Monday. It has not yet been widely publicized that the senior center has reopened and is serving lunch Monday through Friday.
