Weiser boys place first at home meet

The Weiser Wolverines hosted 11 other teams for a track meet at home on April 29.
 The Weiser boys came in first with 167.5 points and the girl’s team came in second with 115 points. In second for the boy’s teams was Homedale with 143 team points; Parma came in third place with 85 team points. Parma took first for the girls with 116 points and Tri-Valley came in third with 69 points.
 Two Weiser boys finished in the top ten in the 100 meter. Maddox Stevens in seventh with 12.36 seconds and Daniel Clemmer in eighth with 12.37 seconds, a personal record for him.
 Triston Kautz came in second in the 200 meters with a time of 23.86 seconds. Brian Munoz placed third with a time of 24.58 seconds, Chris Cornejo came in sixth with a time of 24.99 seconds, and Brayden Walker was ninth with 25.28 seconds.
 In the 400 meter, Triston Kautz earned first place with a time of 54.81 seconds, Daniel Clemmer came in second with 57.17 seconds, Logan Ankarberg was sixth at 1:00.5, and Levi Swank was tenth with 1:01.58.
 Brayden Walker took first in the 800 meters at 2:17.09, Ryndon Olsen came in fifth with a time of 2:39.13, and Logan Stapleton was sixth at 2:40.83.
 Maddox Stevens was third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.42 and Lee Winegar came in ninth with 22.55 seconds. In the 300-meter hurdles Brayden Walker came in first for the Wolverines with a time of 41.87 seconds, Nick Swank came in fourth with a time of 44.85 seconds, and Lee Winegar came in tenth with 57.74 seconds.
 In the 4x100 relay the Weiser boy’s team of Maddox Stevens, Chris Cornejo, Brian Munoz, and Jordan Watkins ended in fourth place with a time of 46.98 seconds.
 Weiser took second place in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:36.83. Running the 4x200 was Colton Foster, Chris Cornejo, Brian Munoz, and Michael Youngberg.
 The team of Colton Foster, Brayden Walker, Michael Youngberg, and Triston Kautz came in second place for the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:43.56.
 Weiser finished second in the sprint medley relay with a time of 4:16.96. Running for Weiser was Mason Grimaldo, Levi Swank, Kasey Kautz, and Edgar Lazaro.
 Daniel Rodriguez came in seventh in the shot put with a distance of 35 feet 8 inches, and Eve Sanchez was ninth with a throw of 35 feet 4 inches. A jump of 5 feet 8 inches earned Nick Swank second place in the high jump.
 In pole vault, first place went to Sam Ellingson at 13 feet. Kasey Kautz came in third with 9 feet 6 inches, and Ryan Ellingson was ninth at 8 feet.
 Six Weiser boys finished in the top ten for long jump. Triston Kautz took first with a jump of 20 feet 7.5 inches; Jordan Watkins took fourth with 18 feet 7.75 inches, Nick Swank was fifth at 18 feet 6.75 inches, Brian Munoz in sixth with 18 feet 2 inches, Mason Grimaldo in eighth with 17 feet 5 inches, and Jayden Walker came in tenth with a jump of 17 feet 4 inches.
 Jayden Walker took fifth in the triple jump with 35 feet 5.75 inches, Michael Youngberg took sixth with 35 feet 3.75 inches, Kasey Kautz was eighth with a jump of 34 feet 5 inches, and Kian Hartley was tenth with 31 feet 5.75 inches.
 Weiser varsity girls had three top ten finishers in the 100-meter. Ashlyn Walker in fourth with 14.12 seconds, Emily Christopherson in fifth at 14.16 seconds, and Isabel Odette took ninth with a time of 14.64 seconds.
 In the 400 meters, Samantha Despain came in sixth place with a time of 1:12.56; Isabel Odette was seventh with 1:13.27, Abigail Hall was eighth at 1:15.40, and Shayla Kelley in ninth with 1:15.90.
 Roma Walker ran the 800 meters with a personal record of 2:50.05 giving her sixth place. Emri Kunz came in seventh with a time of 2:52.86, also a personal record.
 In the 1600 meter Roma Walker came in sixth with 6:29.44 and Kiearra Hoobery was tenth with 6:56.84.
 Senior Alyssa Olvera came in third for the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.23 seconds. In eighth was Cassity McClain with a time of 21.40 seconds.   
 In the 300-meter hurdles, Alyssa Olvera came in fourth at 51.11 seconds.
 Weiser took first place in the 4x100 relay with the team of Emily Christopherson, Shae Kunz, Alyssa Olvera, and Shelby Aldrich. Their time was 53.49 seconds.   
 A time of 1:54.98 gave the Wolverines second place in the 4x200 relay. Running for Weiser was Shae Kunz, Kate Davies, Mattie Shirts, and Shelby Aldrich.
 In the 4x400 relay Weiser girls took the second place spot with Alyssa Olvera, Shae Kunz, Kate Davies, and Mattie Shirts. Their time was 4:30.18.
 Weiser varsity girls were first in the sprint medley relay. Emily Christopherson, Ashlyn Walker, Kate Davies, and Emri Kunz ran the race in 2:06.40.
 The Wolverines had two girls in the top ten for shot put. Melissa Sandoval came in third at 30 feet 19 inches and Ellie Eames was tenth at 26 feet 4.5 inches.
 Whitney Turner took eighth in the discus with 81 feet 5 inches. Shelby Aldrich and Mattie Shirts came in fifth and sixth place respectively in the high jump at 4 feet 6 inches and 4 feet 4 inches.
 Reagan Doty was second in the pole vault with a height of 8 feet 6 inches and Shae Kunz came in third at 8 feet.   
 For girls long jump Shelby Aldrich took second with a jump of 15 feet 8 inches. Ashlyn Walker came in seventh at 14 feet 6.5 inches and Samantha Despain was ninth with 13 feet 10.5 inches.
 Mattie Shirts took third in the triple jump with a jump of 32 feet 10 inches.
