Sheriff's office, fire department and Hazmat responds to possible foreign substance

The Washington County Sheriff’s department responded to a call on Monday afternoon at 1:04 p.m. for a possible foreign substance found in an envelope.
An employee of the Snake River Corrections Institution located in Malheur County was on leave due to COVID-19 and was working at home. She had made a trip to the prison to pick up some inmate request forms and had taken them home to work on. When she opened up the envelope her eyes became irritated and started burning and she started to have respiratory issues.
