Nonprofit health organization names Josie Noah as Chief Global Officer

SightLife, the nonprofit global health organization dedicated to eliminating corneal blindness, announced that Josie Noah has been named Chief Global Officer.
 “Having Josie serve as an executive at SightLife makes me even more confident that we will achieve our mission to eliminate corneal blindness by 2040,” said Claire Bonilla, SightLife CEO.
 “She brings a wealth of experience, clear vision, immense passion and a strong commitment to staff development, which is exactly what we need to spearhead our global work.”
 As CGO, Noah will drive strategy and oversee SightLife’s global programmatic and philanthropy teams who lead the work in low and middle-income countries to eliminate corneal blindness.
 She joined SightLife in 2013, to lead development of the global clinical training program – training more than 1,200 surgeons in partnership with training institutes across China, Ethiopia, India, Mexico and Nepal.
 Founded in 1969 and based in Seattle, Wash., SightLife is a nonprofit global health organization dedicated to eliminating corneal blindness worldwide by 2040.
 With partners in more than 30 countries, SightLife is changing millions of lives around the globe by preventing blindness and restoring sight.
 In addition to her work on clinical training, Noah has led SightLife’s advocacy, global donor operations and prevention programs.
 “I am inspired by our mission, energized by our partners and the team at SightLife and moved by people around the world who dedicate their efforts to the elimination of corneal blindness,” Noah said.
 “I am honored to serve as the next Chief Global Officer as we move toward scale and long-term sustainability.”
 Prior to SightLife, Noah worked in international development, serving in leadership roles at Global Impact, Clinton Global Initiative and as a consultant on international development in Brazil, China, Kenya and Jamaica.
 She holds a B.A. in Peace & Justice Studies from Wellesley College and Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Urban Planning from the University of Southern California.
 Noah is a 2001 graduate of Cambridge High School. She is the daughter of Creed and Mary Noah of Cambridge.
