City of Weiser purchases new garbage truck

The City of Weiser took possession of a new garbage truck to replace a 2006 Sterling garbage truck.
 The new truck is a 27 yard Curbtender garbage truck. It has a 2019 Peterbilt chassis with a 2020 Curbtender refuse body.
 The city would like to remind residents that the only items to be put in the dumpters are general household garbage. The trucks are designed to haul and compact household garbage only.
 “Putting things in the dumpters that don’t belong shortens the life of the truck and slows down garbarge pickup when city crews have to stop and remove things that the dump will not accept,” said Mike Campbell.
 The city also requests that residents do not stack stuff on top or around the alley cans.
