Concordia LCMS will celebrate the Lord’s Supper on Sunday

Dear Editor,
 On Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, Concordia LCMS, 402 E. Court St., Weiser, Idaho will celebrate The Lord’s Supper. 
 All are welcome to join our congregation of sinners in this Christian Sacrament. Please study 1 Corinthians chapter 11 in preparation. Pastor Christian Zimmerman presiding.

Saturday evening turned out to be a great time with a unique Christmas experience in Weiser. 
 As most of you are aware, there was a car cruise up and down State Street, a live Nativity Scene (more like the entire Christmas story) at the Nazarene Church, Santa handing out treats at the high school, cruising up and down the residential areas to look at Christmas lights, and capped off with a great firework display in Memorial Park. The evening’s events were a festive and lively start to the holiday season.

Letter: St. Agnes church offers refunds on dinner tickets

 The St. Agnes Catholic Women’s League would like to thank the community and the parish team who helped at the hall for their support during our annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner.
 Regretfully, at the reccomendation of the Washington County Sheriff, we decided to cancel the event this year due to recent health concerns in our region and throughout the world.
 Anyone who purchased advance tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day dinner may return their tickets to the church office for a refund.

 In light of the current health concerns we have collectively decided to postpone our production of “Steel Magnolias” until late September.
