William “Bill” Troy Dekker

William “Bill” Troy Dekker was born Sept. 23, 1968 in California. He left us on Dec. 29, 2022.  

 Bill attended Cambridge Elementary School and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1987. 

 Bill played sports and excelled at all sports he tried. He was a man of small stature but always left a large impression. 

 After school Bill went to work in “the woods” logging. He loved the outdoors and delighted in falling trees to be loaded and taken to the mills. After logging his next job was working at Midvale Sand and Gravel. Then he went to work for Braun-Jensen Construction where he worked until the end of his life. He always worked outside and loved nature.  

 Bill loved hunting, fishing, and any other activity that was outside. Bill was always the guy you could call and he showed up no matter what was happening in his life. 

 He touched so many lives over the years with his infectious smile,  laugh, and his silly sense of humor. He was also a lover of animals. He loved dogs and was often scolded for sneaking food to the dogs when it was dinner time.  

 Bill was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Henry and Venita Dekker “Pops and Mom”.  He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Baby. He was also preceded in death by his father Bill Dekker.  

 He is survived by his girlfriend, Vicki Thomas, his children; Reid, Preston, and Taylor, many precious friends including; Tom and Sandy Cada, Tim York, Darin Braun, Amanda Fortin, and too many others to name. He is also survived by multiple siblings and an unknown amount of family.
