Thoral ‘Ed’ Hart June 10, 1953- Sept. 23, 2021

Dad was born June 10, 1953 in Ontario, Ore., to Thoral and Myrtle Hart and was called home to be with the Lord Sept. 23, 2021.
 He was the third oldest of six kids and attended grade school in Annex, Ore., where they were raised and graduated from
Weiser High School in 1972.
 He married Julie Elliott, the love of his life, May 6, 1978.
 They started their family in Weiser, Idaho with Sarah, Jacob and Ben where Dad worked at Stibnite and served on the Sheriff’s Posse as well as the Weiser City Fire Dept.
 They moved to Cambridge, Idaho in 1985 where he worked at the Co-op.
 They completed their family with the twins, Hoby and Misty in 1988.
 With a huge love for Christ, Dad and Mom shared their passion with their children and grandchildren. He continued his love for serving his community by joining the Cambridge Fire and Ambulance where he served for many years.
 Dad had a passion for the outdoors and was proud to teach the youth by serving as the local hunters safety instructor for 25 years.
 Dad was a hard worker and had a knack for metal fabrication, auto body, painting and restoration.
 Being born into a farming family, some of Dad’s fondest memories were spent in a truck, tractor or mechanicing on equipment at Hart Farms on the Oregon Slope.
 Before retirement he was proud to work with his three sons, wife, and daughter-in-law at Kinross Gold Mine.
 He continued his passion for farming after retirement by working for Fairchild Farms in Midvale Idaho.
 Some of his favorite moments were watching his grandkids excel at sports or passing time watching Longmire or his alter ego John Wayne, so much so that he was referred to as “Papa Duke” by his grandkids.
 Dad is survived by his wife of 43 years, Julie Hart, his five children; Sarah, Jacob (Dylan), Ben (Lisa), Hoby (Debbie), Misty (Joey), 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and sister’s, Linda, Amy, Mary and Renee.
 Dad was preceded in death by his parents Thoral and Myrtle Hart, nephew Bill Coon, nephew Steven Chattin, and brother Raymond Hart.
 A Celebration of Life for Dad “The Duke” will be held at Cambridge Exhibit Hall Thursday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m.
p.m. with a family graveside to follow.
 In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Cambridge Fire and Ambulance.
