Monte Dwight Ehle

Monte Dwight Ehle passed away on Oct. 24, 2018, in Weiser, Idaho. 
 Monte was born April 7, 1940, in New Meadows, Idaho to Ruhama Elizabeth (Allison) and Theodore Henry Ehle. 
 When Monte was a young child his mother died after being hit by a car.   
 In addition to his father, Monte was raised by his grandparents Nellie and Ira Pottenger in Old Meadows. His later teenage years were spent in Cambridge with his father and step-mother Laverna Jones Ehle. Laverna was a very kind woman who helped Monte throughout his life.  He had two marriages that ended in divorce.
 Monte worked in nursing homes in Nampa  and Weiser. 
 He enjoyed photography and developed some very good pictures. He took pleasure in putting together difficult puzzles and appreciated a good book and reading the Bible.  
 Monte was a devout Christian, attending church and Bible study wherever he was living.  
 The family appreciates the Weiser Worship Center, the Senior Center and friends who looked in on Monte in the last years. Special thank you for Carlena Myers friendship who had helped Monte in his aging years.  
 Monte was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother David Ehle, half-sisters Vivian Watkins, Elfleta Boos and Carmel Bertonneau.
 He is survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.   
 Cremation has taken place. Burial, next to his father, and a celebration of life, at a later date, will take place in Cambridge, Idaho.
 His niece Darlene always thought of Monte as a gentle giant. Rest in peace Monte. His larger than life laugh will be missed by those who knew him.
