June M. Woody

We want to let you know that our Mom stayed on this earth as long as she could, and on Jan. 12, 2020, at the age of 89 years old she passed away.
Mom was born at the family home, near Cambridge, Idaho, along with her twin brother, Jim.  Pretty remarkable for that time to have twins, with a total weight of seven pounds, and have them both survive to adulthood.
Moms entire life was spent in Cambridge, Crane Creek, Council and Weiser.  She never seemed to need anything more than her family to make her happy.
Nothing was bigger to her than her husband, her kids and the grandchildren.  Our house always had extra kids hanging around, and there was always room at the table for extra plates.  Seems she never tired of the kid noises.
It’s when you sit down to put someone’s life on paper that you realize just how incredibly strong they were.  Mom was not a physically strong person, but the losses she endured speak to her grit.
She was the soul survivor of her parents, seven brothers and sisters (and spouses), her husband of 64 years, Emmett, two sons John and Charles, and a daughter Susie along with other relatives and friends.  Most recently she lost her best friend, Mrs.  Grindstaff.
June is survived by her children, Lavonne, Tom and Sharon, Elise and Jon, daughter-in-law Sheryl and Bill, sisters-in-laws Norma and Millie, brother-in-law Jim, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to the staff at Indianhead Estates for taking such good care of Mom.  She had only good things to say about all of you.  We thank you.
There will be a memorial service for Mom, on Jan. 25, 2020, at the Weiser Church of the Nazarene, 510 E. Indianhead Rd., Weiser, Idaho.  Service will start at 11 a.m. with a dinner to follow at the church.  Everyone is welcome.
