John Albert Winegar

John Albert Winegar was born to Rex and Susan Winegar in Weiser, Idaho on June 27, 1964. 

 He grew up on Rex’s dairy farm with his older brother Bruce, little sisters Gwen and Robin, and little brother Steve. John loved farming and tractors from a young age.

 After graduating from Weiser High School, John served a two-year LDS mission in Cebu, Philippines. 

 While attending Rick’s College John married his sweetheart DeAna Yearsley on Aug. 18, 1987 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They farmed together in Weiser and were blessed with three children, Afton, Orin, and Lee.  

 John loved his life on the farm and his family.  He loved to serve his fellow man and spent much of his time doing so.

 On Aug. 22, 2022, at the age of 58, John was in a tractor accident on his farm. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.  

 John was lovingly laid to rest on the hill above his beloved farm in the Winegar Family Cemetery on Aug. 26, 2022. 

 John is survived by his wife DeAna; daughter Afton; sons Orin and Lee; parents Rex and Susan; brother Bruce and his wife Lynn; sister Gwen Wheeler and her husband Doran; sister Robin Orton and her husband Mark; brother Steve and his wife Chantell; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
