Donald Rae Robinson

Donald Rae Robinson was born Dec. 6, 1936 in Weiser, Idaho.
 He passed away Jan. 15, 2019 in Coppell, Texas.
 He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Rae Robinson, his mother, 
Margaret Grondahl Robinson and his son, Phillip Mark Adams.
 He is survived by his wife, Ivon of 54 years and his children: Azhar (Cynthia) Ibrahim, Deanna Adams, Donna Robinson, Michelle Alvarez and Lynn Robinson, also by his additional mother from a very, young age, Lorene Kittams and two brothers, 
Edward Lynn Robinson and Kip Farmer.
 He has 11 grandchildren: Zainab, Mustafa, Omar, James, Somer, David, Ashley, Christy, Mickie, Devon and Christian and  21 great-grandchildren.
 Don was a skier at a very young age and became a ski jumper while in high school.
 He was an avid photographer starting in the fifth grade where he had his own darkroom on his parent’s farm in Idaho.
 He attended schools in Weiser, Idaho and Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho and served in the U.S. Army for four years.
 He worked in the retail business which gave him options of having jobs in different states. His job transfers took him from Idaho to Las Vegas, Nevada and then to a very small town in  Turner, Kansas where he met Ivon.
His job took them to Sandy, Utah, Irving, Texas and in 1983 they moved to 
Coppell, Texas where they reside today.
 From 1996-2001, Don and Ivon had a photography studio in Coppell called Robinson Photography.
 After retirement, Don was great about doing “honey-dos,” helping others with household projects, and doing some traveling to stay in touch with family members.
 A memorial will be held at their home in Coppell, Texas on Feb. 10, 2019.
 He will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity or church.
