WHS student dies of pneumonia

The Weiser Signal American has confirmed that a Weiser High School student passed away on Saturday, Dec. 17 due to complications associated with pneumonia.
The Weiser School District sent a notice to parents, teachers, and students on Monday informing them of the tragic event.
The name of the WHS sophomore is being withheld out of respect for the family. No other information is available at this time.
“Everyone in the school district is just heartbroken for the student and the family,” said WSD Superintendent Wade Wilson. “We just had a staff member and coach pass away and it has been very hard for everyone.”
Brad Cordes, a WHS graduate and long-time football, softball, and basketball coach, passed away unexpectedly at home on Dec. 4, 2022. The deaths have left a void for many during what is typically a festive season.
The Weiser Signal American would like to express its sincere condolences to the families effected by these tragedies.
