Weiser track team hosts SRV meet

The Weiser Wolverine track teams competed in an SRV meet at their home track on April 22. The Weiser boys came in second with 116 points and the girls team came in third with 107 points in a field of six teams.
 The top boys team was McCall-Donnelly with 155 team points to earn first. Fruitland came in third place with 100 team points. McCall-Donnelly also took first for the girls with 150 points and Fruitland came in second with 117.5 points.
 Two Weiser boys posted personal record times in the 100 meter. Maddox Stevens in ninth with 12.34 seconds and Daniel Clemmer in tenth with 12.41 seconds.
 Senior Triston Kautz came in second in the 200 meters with a personal record time of 23.51 seconds. Brayden Walker placed third with a time of 24.24 seconds, Brian Munoz was fourth with 24.28 seconds, and Chris Cornejo came in eighth with a time of 24.72 seconds.
 In the 400 meter, Colton Foster came in second with 54.80 seconds, Daniel Clemmer was sixth with 58 seconds, and Logan Ankarberg was eighth with 59 seconds.
 Brayden Walker also took second in the 800 meters at 2:09.28 and Ryndon Olsen came in ninth with a time of 2:38.36.
 Maddox Stevens was second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.43 and Lee Winegar came in ninth with 22.86 seconds. In the 300-meter hurdles Brayden Walker came in second for the Wolverines with a time of 42.57 seconds and Nick Swank came in fourth with a time of 44.12 seconds.
 In the 4x100 relay the Weiser boy’s team of Nick Swank, Triston Kautz, Brian Munoz, and Jordan Watkins ended in second place with a time of 46.16 seconds
 Weiser took third place in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:37.41. Running the 4x200 was Colton Foster, Chris Cornejo, Brian Munoz, and Michael Youngberg.
 The team of Brayden Walker, Colton Foster, Michael Youngberg and Triston Kautz came in second place for the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:43.12.
 Weiser finished second in the sprint medley relay with a time of 4:12.12. Running for Weiser was Mason Grimaldo, Levi Swank, Kasey Kautz, and Edgar Lazaro.
 Daniel Rodriguez came in seventh in the discus with a distance of 118 feet. A jump of 5 feet 6 inches earned Nick Swank fifth place in the high jump.
 In pole vault, first place went to Sam Ellingson at 13 feet 7 inches. Gabriel Rasmussen came in seventh with 9 feet 6 inches and Kasey Kautz was in eighth with a jump of 9 feet.
 Four Weiser boys finished in the top ten for long jump. Triston Kautz took first with a jump of 20 feet 1 inch; Jordan Watkins took third with 19 feet 10 inches, Brian Munoz in fifth with 18 feet 9.5 inches, and Jayden Walker came in ninth with a jump of 17 feet 6 inches.
 Micheal Youngberg took sixth in the triple jump with 36 feet 7.5 inches and Jayden Walker was eighth with 36 feet 1.5 inches.
 Weiser varsity girls had four top ten finishers in the 100 meter. Shelby Aldrich in fourth at 13.68 seconds, Ashlyn Walker in seventh with 14.24 seconds, Melodee Cathey in ninth at 14.67 seconds, and Samantha Despain took tenth with a time of 14.79 seconds.
 In the 400 meters, Samantha Despain came in fifth place with a time of 1:11.10; Isabel Odette was seventh with 1:13.25, and Shayla Kelley in ninth with 1:14.77.
 Roma Walker ran the 800 meters with a personal record of 2:51.22 giving her fifth place. Emri Kunz came in seventh with a time of 2:53.87.
 In the 1600 meter Roma Walker came in fourth with 6:31.01 and Kiearra Hoobery was eighth with 7:08.38.
 Senior Alyssa Olvera came in second for the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.07 seconds. In fourth was Kiana Olvera with a time of 18.61 seconds and sixth went to Cassity McClain.
 In the 300-meter hurdles, Alyssa Olvera came in second at 51.81 seconds and Kiana Olvera was fifth with a time of 56.03.
 Weiser took fourth place in the 4x100 relay with the team of Emily Christopherson, Shae Kunz, Kiana Olvera, and Shelby Aldrich. Their time was 54.50 seconds.
 A time of 1:56.85 gave the Wolverines second place in the 4x200 relay. Running for Weiser was Emily Christopherson, Kate Davies, Shae Kunz, and Alyssa Olvera.
 In the 4x400 relay Weiser girls took the first place spot with Alyssa Olvera, Shae Kunz, Kate Davies, and Mattie Shirts. Their time was 4:35.05.
 Weiser varsity girls were third in the sprint medley relay. Emily Christopherson, Ashlyn Walker, Kate Davies, and Mattie Shirts ran the race in 2:03.91.
 The Wolverines had two girls in the top ten for shot put. Melissa Sandoval at 32 feet 4.5 inches came in first and Ellie Eames was ninth eighth 25 feet 9 inches.
 Whitney Turner took third in the discus with 87 feet 5 inches. In eighth place was Matlin Wolrey with 74 feet 5 inches and Ellie Eames came in tenth with 71 feet 5 inches.   
 Mattie Shirts and Shelby Aldrich tied for third place in the high jump at 4 feet 6 inches.
 Junior Shae Kunz was third in the pole vault with a height of 7 feet 6 inches.   
 For girls long jump Shelby Aldrich took second with a jump of 15 feet 8 inches. Ashlyn Walker came in eighth at 14 feet 0.5 inches and Samantha Despain was tenth with 13 feet 10.5 inches.
 Mattie Shirts took fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 31 feet 4.5 inches.
