Weiser Schools holiday band concert

The Weiser School Bands held their holiday concert at the High School auditorium on December 12. The evening of music started with the Sixth Grade Beginning Band. They played three holiday classics arranged by Mark Williams, “Jingle Bells,” “Good King Wenceslas,” and “Dreydl, Dreydl”. The Seventh and Eighth Grade concert band played “The Little Drummer Boy,” arranged by Sandy Feldstein and “Santa’s Rockin’ Holiday Mix,” arranged by Patrick Roszell. The Weiser High School Symphonic Band, pictured above, played a medley from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ by Danny Elfman and arranged by Michael Brown. They also played “Russian Christmas Music” by Alfred Reed, arranged by James Curnow. The evenings performances ended with the Weiser High School Jazz Band, pictured below, playing “Easy Rider” by Carl Strommen and “A Jazzy Merry Christmas,” arranged by Paul Cook. The annual Weiser Band and Colorguard Dinner is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2023 at the Vendome Events Center. Entertainment will be provided during the meal by the band and colorguard. Money raised from the dinner will go towards a planned music education trip to Disneyland in late March.
