Theater season kicks off with Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens

 Weiser area live theater-goers will be delighted with Weiser Little Theater’s upcoming production of the uproarious comedy “Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens” by the acclaimed playwright trio Jones Hope Wooten.

 The opening night for the dinner theater is set for Oct. 8, one of two dessert-only nights, on the theater-in-the-round stage at Weiser Little Theater, located at 405 East 2nd Street. The show’s dates continue Oct. 10-12, 15 (dessert only), and 17-19, with the laugh-out-loud production directed by WLT veteran Don Pilkington. The cast of characters features a core group of local actors, many of whom audiences have grown to love through WLT’s many, many theatrical seasons.

 Doors will open at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:45 p.m., and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. On the special dessert-only nights, Oct. 8 and 15, show time is set at 7 p.m., with the delicious dessert served during intermission.

 A gut-busting comedy, Last Roundup of the Guacamole Queens guarantees an evening of continuous laughter, with a story revolving around three cousins, the Verdeens, who are determined to make their family reunion the best one yet.
