Republican Presidential Caucus update

The Idaho Republican presidential caucus is set to take place statewide Saturday, March 2 at 12 p.m. (See the full story in the Feb. 22 issue of the Signal American.)
Voters are reminded that the caucus must stay open for a minimum of an hour and a  half.
Washington County Republican Central Committee Caucus Captain Jonna Duvall-Williams said that although doors will remain open if voters continue to trickle in after 1:30 p.m., they should make every attempt to come within the allotted time frame.
“It is going to be my decision, but if I have a lull of 15, 20, 25 minutes and nobody is walking in, and we are after that hour and a half, then we can officially close,” she said. “Don’t expect that if you come at 5 p.m. we are still going to be open.”
Voters are also reminded that they must vote in their precinct as of their last address on Dec. 31, 2023. For example, if someone moved from Cambridge to Weiser and did not re-register by Dec. 31, they would be required to go to Cambridge to vote in the caucus.
