PNF has Christmas tree permits

 Share the gift of special memories, experiences, and cherished traditions as you embark into the great outdoors to cut down your own Christmas tree this year. 

 Embrace the spirit of the season and head to the Payette National Forest to find your perfect holiday centerpiece, all while making special memories you’ll cherish for generations to come.

 Starting Nov. 23, permits can be purchased for $10 at local vendors or starting Nov. 25 at Forest Service offices. Local vendors include: Ridley’s in Weiser, Blake’s Sinclair in Cambridge, Farmer’s Supply Coop in Council, Albertson’s in McCall,  and C & M Lumber in New Meadows. Permits can also be purchased online by searching “Payette Christmas” on recreation.gov.

 Did you know that fourth graders with every kid outdoor passes can get a free Christmas tree permit at Forest Service offices? The passes also allow free access for all children under 16 and up to three adults at hundreds of parks and forest recreation sites nationwide.
