Forest Service should tidy up gardening practices
Dear Editor,
Have you noticed all the smoke in the air over our beloved Republic?
It is a result of poor, or the nonexistence of, good gardening practices on the part of the U.S. Forest Service.
Consider this: the U.S. does not possess a forest; they are all within one or another of the several U.S. States. So, the Forest Service must be left to the individual states.
A wise gardener will keep the underbrush, weeds, grass and debris cleared from among his trees so as to virtually eliminate wildfires and smoke.
Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution states, “The House of Representative shall be composed of: Members chosen every second year by the people of the several States.”
In Section 3, the Constitution says, “The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six years; and each senator shall have one vote. Immediately after they shall be assembled in consequence of the first election, they shall be divided as equally as may be into three classes. The seats of the Senators of the first class shall be vacated at the end of the second year, the second class at the end of the fourth year and the third class at the end of the sixth year, so that one third may be chosen every second year …”
There you have the constitutional term limits for Congress; written in 1778.
Now let’s talk about our Constitution and the 17th Amendment ratified 4-8-1913 in W. Wilson’s regime. Prior to the 17th Amendment, the Senators were chosen by the State Legislators from a pool of individuals previously working in State governments and already knowledgeable about the required procedures. Now in the era of the 17th, a Senator may be chosen directly off the street knowing absolutely nothing about governmental procedures. The 17th Amendment must be repealed.
In the 1946 Harry S. Truman regime, our congress enacted the Administration Procedure Act and the SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) stopped trying to keep the procedures Constitutional while the bureaucrats went wild and We The People (WTP) lost many liberties, freedoms and powers.
