Celebrate the holiday season with the many events planned

The Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation threw a great party on Thursday bringing the festive holiday season to life with all the beautifully decorated trees.
It takes a lot of people to put on a grand affair and I hope everyone enjoyed spending the evening with family and friends.
I bought a tree this year and it was delivered to my door on Saturday. It truly made my day with the lights, packages and the accessories that came with it. Last year I bought a tree, had it set up in my living room and there it sat with no decorations, just some lights. So now I can enjoy a beautifully decorated tree without the hassle of hauling my Christmas decorations into the house.
I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving with family and friends. There is so much to be thankful for, so I hope everyone counts their blessings and carries that forward through the end of the year and into the new year.
This year has been a hard year for many, but with all the organizations helping families in need it warms the heart. There are also so many activities going on with no charge.
Toby and Dana Clary and Susan Slyter will again host the free Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday at the Weiser Activity Center for Seniors. Come enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. The dine-in meal will run from noon to 3 p.m.
The holiday parade will be held on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m., with Santa making his way to our grand city. The tree lighting ceremony, where Santa will officially open the Christmas season in Weiser, will be held at the depot after the parade. Bill Taylor, who manages the City of Weiser water department, will shoot off fireworks that will light the sky in splendid glory. Topping off the evening, the Architectural Preservation Committee has decorated the historic train depot and will have an open house with vintage department store window displays from all over the country. Santa will be at the depot after the parade to visit young and old alike.
There will be Christmas programs all month long from churches to Weiser, Midvale and Cambridge school students.
The Upper Country Singers will be presenting their annual program on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds exhibit hall.
The free drive through Nativity hosted by the Weiser Church of the Nazarene will be held Dec. 13 and Dec. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m..
Midvale will have their tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at Midvale park.
These are just a few of the events planned. For more, please check out the Weiser Signal American special holiday edition inside this edition. There is something for everyone to enjoy. If we have accidentally not mentioned an event, please let us know.
 Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving.
