Cambridge rodeo pays out a total of $30,000

Idaho Cowboys Association members put on a show in Cambridge Aug. 2 and 3, with the top finishers taking home a total of $30,000 between them. Malheur County’s rodeo was going on the same weekend, so quite a number of competitors had a double payday weekend.
 In bareback competition, Hunter Greenup took the win with a 72-point ride, also winning first in Ontario, and holding onto first in the ICA standings.
 In saddle bronc, Eyer Morrison placed first with 73 points, followed by Jace England and Justin England splitting second and third, both scoring 68.
 Kolby Moore topped the ranch bronc event with 72 points, followed by Tyler Jackson, 71, and Rance Snap and Cash Rubelt splitting third and fourth with 68-point rides.
 Tommy Jack Rose took the lead in tie-down roping, completing his catch in 9 seconds flat. Zane Taylor, second, 9.2, Justin Parke, third, 9.6, Degan Patton, fourth, 10.6, Rio Curtis, sixth, 11, and Austin Ledford, seventh, 11.1.
 Makenly Davis, Meg Eiguren, and Kaitlyn Jones split first through third in breakaway roping with 2.2-second runs. Jetta Bott and Brittany Truman split fourth and fifth, with 2.3 seconds each, Candida Eldridge sixth, 2.4 seconds, and Rylee Hansen and Raimee Pearson splitting seventh and eighth with 2.5-second runs.
 Weiser’s Trevor Maddox continued a roll of first-place times in steer wrestling, making a 5.3-second run in Cambridge, and splitting first and second in Ontario with a 4.5 run. Maddox has moved to first place in the ICA standings. At Cambridge, Coy Schaffield earned second with a 5.6-second run, and Tommy Jack Rose was third with 19 seconds.
 In team roping Brayn Reay and Brent Falon finished first with a 5-second time. Conor Ward and Breck Ward, second, with 5.4; Jared Parke and Sam Saunders, third, in 5.6 seconds; Kreece Powell and Ryan Powell, fourth, 6.2; Dex Maddock and Kurtis Barry, fifth, 6.7; Indigo Sappington and Terry Logan, sixth, 6.9; Quintin Moffis and Kyle Moos, seventh, 8.5; and TC Hammack and Trey McFarlane, eighth, 9.9.
 Currently sitting in first in ICA standings, Jordan Minor’s 16.152-second run in barrel racing placed her first. Shawny Telford, second, in 16.274 seconds; Angie Powell, third, 16.386; Jade Benevides, fourth, 16.392; McKenzie Crockett, fifth, 16.435; Teely Bott, sixth, 16.496; Katie Davis, seventh, 16.603; and Alecia Foster, seventh, 16.604.
 Sean Mahoney took home firsts in both novice bareback and novice saddle bronc riding, with the only scores made in both, a 64 and 69, respectively.
In novice bull riding Axel Vassar had the high score of 73 for first place; Matthew Stoddart was second with a 65, and Owen Hunter, third, with a 58.
