Anyone with a plan for a big project in Weiser will now have a checklist that local officials hope is handy for navigating the city’s new design requirements.
The Weiser City Council unanimously approved adding a pre-submission checklist to the broader design review rules adopted in 2025.
Under the ordinance, projects larger than 2,000 square feet go before the city’s Design Review Committee to ensure they comply with aesthetic standards covering everything from lighting to landscaping.

The Weiser City Council accepted the fiscal 2025 financial audit conducted by Quest CPAs, the city’s longtime partner. The Meridian-based firm conducts governmental audits across Idaho, including Washington County.
“Weiser is a very complex city, it’s got a lot of departments, a lot of different funds,” Quest partner Kurt Folke said.
