Downtown Weiser businesses are preparing a festive afternoon of Halloween fun as they open their doors for Safe Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Families are encouraged to visit participating businesses, collect treats and enjoy a variety of special activities offered by merchants throughout downtown. A list of some of the participating businesses can be found on the special Halloween page in today’s issue of the Weiser Signal American.
Several stops will offer more than just candy.
At Thomason Funeral Home, 221 E. Court St., visitors can enjoy a family-friendly Spook Alley filled with Halloween magic, smiles and just the right amount of spooky fun.
Sweet Roots Bakery, 603 E. Main St., will celebrate the holiday throughout the day by offering free frosted sugar cookies and donuts to patrons who arrive in costume. During the official Safe Trick-or-Treating hours, the first 10 costumed trick-or-treaters through the door will receive pumpkin buckets filled with treats. Guests can also enjoy the shop’s festive seasonal decorations, including fun and spooky holographic displays.
A Haunted Hairy Experience awaits at The Hair Company, 735 State St. Young ghosts and goblins can make their way through a haunted beauty shop-style spook alley that takes visitors through the front door and out the back, delivering a few surprises along the way.
Artful Bon’s will also join the celebration, offering half-price Halloween paintable projects throughout the day in addition to handing out treats during the downtown event.
The annual Safe Trick-or-Treating tradition provides families with a fun, welcoming environment while highlighting the businesses that help make downtown Weiser a vibrant part of the community.
Be sure to stop by each participating advertiser and thank them for helping make Halloween a memorable experience for local children and families.
For those eager to start celebrating early, the Weiser Boys & Girls Club will host a Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the parking lot of Weiser Christian Church, 1299 E. Second St.
