Fall brings fresh progress and community traditions

Hopefully, we will have the street sweepers back working this week so we can get the loose gravel cleaned up on the chip-seal streets. Thank you for your patience as we work through this process.

 We are now into the early weeks of fall recreation sports, and registration is already underway for winter sports and instructional camps. Boys’ basketball will run before Christmas, with girls’ basketball starting in January. Girls K through 6th grade can register at the Weiser Recreation Department for a 4 week basketball camp put on by the girls high school team starting Nov. 7  running through Dec. 5 taking the Saturday after Thanksgiving off.

 Remember, if anyone needs financial assistance with Weiser Recreation programs, the Future Wolverines organization is available to help. We want every child to have an equal opportunity to participate.

 The Weiser Alumni Foundation will be holding its inaugural Hall of Fame reception honoring Weiser alumni and faculty on Sept. 26 at 4:30 p.m. at the Vendome Events Center. Hans Olsen will serve as master of ceremonies. Tickets can be purchased at the Weiser Alumni Foundation website, weiseralumnifoundation.org, or by contacting Larry Hogg.
