Josephine Welker 1922 - 2019

Jo Welker peacefully passed away in her sleep Thursday morning, Sept. 26, 2019 at Indianhead Estates.
 She was born in Hyannis, Neb., Dec. 28, 1922, the daughter of Joseph and Erma Parks.
 She moved with her family to Weiser at the age of seven and resided here for the rest of her life.
 She was a vital character in the Weiser community and loved by everyone she knew. She was an active and respected member of the Weiser Elks Lodge for all of her adult life.
 Her lifelong passion was raising her three sons and showering them with love. She had an uncanny sense of humor that she shared with everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
 She was preceded in death by her beloved son Bob (in 1976), her husband Sig Welker and her three sisters, Lois, Evelyn and Joan.
 She is survived by her sons Steve and Jim, their wives Marcia and Susan and grandchildren.
 Special thants to the administration and staff at Indianhead Estates who cared for her with immense love and dignity in the last years of here life.
 A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Weiser St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019.
