Jack C. Bradshaw

Jack C. Bradshaw, a resident of Weiser, Idaho, passed away on Feb. 24, 2026 from complications of heart failure, diabetes, and multiple sclerosis. He was 80.
Jack was born in Emmett, Idaho on June 1, 1945, the youngest of three children of Earl Clifford Bradshaw and Freda Belle Corbett Bradshaw. He was much younger than his two older sisters Helen and Valene, and he was adored by the family.
He grew up on his parents’ farm on the Emmett Bench. As a teenager he worked in the Shamrock Market and attended Emmett High School. He spent his senior year in Logan, Utah with Helen and her family and graduated from Logan High School. Later he attended Stevens Henage Business College in Salt Lake City.
In 1967 Jack married Carla Jean Canaday in Emmett, Idaho. The couple have three children, Tad Carl Bradshaw (Laura), Jackie Bradshaw Van Leuven (Jeff), and Tennille Bradshaw Glenn (Ray). Jack and Carla later divorced.
Jack was a man of many talents, and he achieved success in several lines of work. For much of his career he worked for Boise Cascade, eventually becoming a mill manager. He also worked in sales and the mortgage industry. In his later years he owned and managed Z & S Pawn and Sport in Weiser, Idaho.
Jack was tall, smart, handsome, funny, fun-loving, and camera shy. Although he was a private person and didn’t enjoy the limelight, he made friends wherever he went and he was devoted to them, especially the friends he met through Alcoholics Anonymous, where he served in leadership roles for many years. At his death he had achieved 40 years of sobriety.
He touched the lives of many people and was a positive influence in his community.
He enjoyed the mountains, fishing, guns, leather work, and especially his 1988 Chevy truck, which was the envy of all the kids in town and which he kept running for 477,000 miles. He was fond of a practical joke, and his friends have stories they will share for years.
Jack is survived by his children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, and a granddaughter, Karlee Van Leuven.
At Jack’s request, no formal funeral will be held. His cremains will be interred in the Emmett City Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on April 25, 2026 at 11 a.m. at The Beacon Venue, 440 State Street, Weiser, Idaho.
