Dynamics of Leadership

Dear Editor:
Currently, the place that we live and call home has deteriorated in to a state of chaos bordering on anarchy. Our sense of right and wrong has been compromised . Many consider living with moral relativism
as normal.
Acknowledging the fact that the core of our people are well intended and fairminded, how did we get here? This down hill slide does not happen over night. It required years of inconsistency and a lack of transparency.
Fortunately there is a clear path back to an atmosphere of relative harmony and prosperity. The prolonged return to this state is centered on quality leadership.
“Leadership,” it has all but devolved into a place of a nebulous catch phrase mistaken for some of those in charge.
Leader can be identified by traits and actions.
The ability to understand history, coupled with the observation of the current experiences, give one a base from which to draw.
It is imperative to analyze with an open mind when viewing the big picture.
Moving toward the, “solution,” consultive skills and plan making are key.
The means for setting the process in motion is communication, the exchange of ideas and information.
Focus on exchange. The facilitators of this are truth and transparency. Without the last two, the model collapses.
Pick a path. Take a stand. No whiners.
