December school art winners announced
Just ahead of December’s Christmas school break the Four County Art Guild made its selections of art winners at Weiser’s four school buildings.
Weiser High School’s Isabella Duncan’s first place art piece indicates a love of music, holding a city street and buildings scene in the background, and the impression of torn art paper with musical instruments, emblems, a dancer, and more in the foreground.
Adrian Downing earned a red ribbon, and Alexyz Perkins, a white, with Taylor Page Haner earning an honorable mention award.
Taylor Kysar’s precise drawing of a young border collie won the blue ribbon at Weiser Middle School.
Abigail Pink took second, and Brin Roeber, third. Honorable mention ribbons went to Janell Garcia, Emma Eastman, and Felix Sturtz.
Park School’s Clayton Esteb’s artwork shows his love of Idaho’s outdoors, featuring a Ford 4-wheel-drive pickup in the foreground, and perhaps the Teton Range in the background, and earned him first place.
Winning a red ribbon was Bella Gonzalez, and Birdie Craven took home the third-place white ribbon. Petra Mejia, Bella Gonzales, and Lola Johnson each won honorable mention awards.
Elijah Britt’s drawing of a ninja warrior won the blue ribbon at Pioneer School.
Elai Ortiz earned second, and Rayleigha Cavazos, third. Trenton Houston and Jayger Edwards each received honorable mention awards.
