 The Washington County Weed Advisory Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Washington County Weed Dept., located at 1118 E. Court St., Weiser, Idaho. The public is welcome to attend.

2024 Ho Ho Express reportedly sees another joyous excursion

 Friday, Dec. 20, a magical event took place. Kids from Weiser were able to get something that many of them would not have gotten otherwise: the magic of Christmas. All of this is thanks to Ho Ho Express.
 Founded over 40 years ago by one of Santa’s helpers, Joe Malay, Ho Ho Express is a gift to the Weiser community that takes kids from less fortunate families to Walmart in Ontario. They are gifted $50 each to spend their hearts’ content on.

Friends publish first children’s book

A pair of Weiser artisans have collaborated and published the first of what they say is going to be a five-book children’s series.
 The beginnings of the cooperative effort between Sandra Mockwitz and Denice Armitage date back around five years, when the pair got to comparing notes as they were working on some fun pottery projects at Mockwitz’s former business, Marbella’s Art studio.
