Weiser Fire District has named Fisher as ‘new’ chief

WEISER – For Bud Fisher, advice his father delivered when he was a young man still resonates.

“He told me when you didn’t like what you were doing and had a hard time getting out of bed to go do it, it is time to change jobs. I’ve never had that problem. I love what I do,” said Fisher.

Fisher was named the chief of the Weiser Fire District in November, but he isn’t a stranger to Weiser, the fire department or firefighting.

A New Plymouth High School graduate, Fisher, said he knew early on he wanted to be a firefighter.
