Beryl Jean (Rice) Skeesick

Beryl Jean (Rice) Skeesick joined her three older sisters in eternity on April 29, 2021, on the morn of her 66th wedding anniversary, leaving behind her husband Delbert and son Allison Bert.
Beryl discovered a log house on a hill with a wonderful view and moved here to Weiser, with the flood of 1997, to enjoy her retirement years.
Born in Aitkin County, Minnesota, she became an accomplished pianist at a very early age.
She followed her family to California, married Delbert in 1955, and gave Allison to the family in 1958. The trio had a 7-year tour of universities, supporting Delbert’s acquisition of a college degree.
Beryl became an accomplished legal secretary, surviving a future state legislator, a sitting District Attorney, and finally a future state supreme court judge.
She took great pride in starting a Toastmistress club in the Oregon State Penitentiary and being a successful trap shooter, winning many trophies to display.
She was the skilled money manager of the family, working out trips from Idaho to Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and many places in-between.
Now, having lived over 88 years and accomplishing all of her life’s goals, she wishes all a final goodbye.
A celebration of life is being planned for mid-summer.
