Mary Ann Mansfield (Roe)

Mary Ann Mansfield (Roe) was born to Tago and Katelina Roe on May 14, 1944 in Pago Pago, American Samoa. She was a twin; the last of 16 children.
Mary loved being outdoors, particularly fishing with her sister Alice. She moved with her father to Hawaii when she was a child. There she enjoyed the ocean and surfing.
Mary met and married her husband, Larry Mansfield, in Rhode Island in 1971. Larry was in the Navy and together they traveled to Connecticut, Antigua, San Francisco and San Diego. They moved to Larry’s home town of Weiser, Idaho in 1985.
In Weiser, Mary learned to garden and spent many years growing vegetables enjoyed by her friends and family. She was also a great cook, her biscuits and gravy were favorites of her children and grandchildren.
Her fondness of the outdoors continued in Weiser where she enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.  She loved living in Weiser.
In the last 15 years of Mary’s life, a passion for golfing evolved. She spent most days at Rolling Hills Golf Course. She loved golfing with “the ladies” with whom she developed good friendships; most dear to her was the friendship she had with Mary Walker.
Mary has two daughters and four grandchildren whom she loved very much. She also treasured relationships with her sisters, her eldest brother Laupula and her many nieces and nephews.
Mary had a big personality, she was blatantly honest with everyone and extremely loyal to those close to her. To say the least, she will be missed.
Mary was survived by her daughter and son-in-law Brandy and Hank Fitchett, her son-in-law  Larry Smith, and her four grandchildren Chelsea Torky-Cagle (her spouse, Turki), Meagan Cagle (her fiance Joey Hatler), Audrey Fitchett and Scott Fitchett.
