Larry Douglas Walker

With much sadness in our hearts, Larry Douglas Walker, born June 16, 1939, in Centralia, Kansas, passed away on Jan. 14, 2022 at home surrounded by those of us who loved him so very much.
Generous, loving, supportive, funny, smiling, positive are just a few words to describe this very special man.
Larry spent many years self-employed designing and building custom agricultural spraying systems.
Larry was a loving husband and best friend, a beloved Father, and a true friend to so many.  His generosity knew no boundaries.
Larry enjoyed an exciting life, liked surprising people, and always had a smile on his face! He loved country dancing and he loved animals! He especially enjoyed doing things that would make one sit up and pay attention!
An example that comes to mind is the day he proposed to his wife, Lee, in front of several hundred folks at the Cody, Wyoming rodeo! You just never knew what he was up to!  Larry was a once in a lifetime individual who will be sorely missed by those who knew him and loved him.
Larry enlisted in the United States Navy in August of 1957, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged in 1961.
Larry was born on June 16, 1939 to Marguerite Hollibaugh of Arkansas and William Elmer Walker of Silverton, Colorado.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Lee Walker, of Weiser, Idaho, sons, Michael Walker and wife, Gail, of Emmett, Idaho, and Scott Walker and wife, Ruth, of Salem, Oregon, granddaughters, Serena White and Monique Buchanan.
His smile – though his smile is gone and his hand we cannot touch, we still have so many memories of the one we loved so much. His memory is now our keepsake which with we will never part. God has him in His keeping and we have him in our hearts...until we meet again...
