Lady Wolverines led the day at Red Hawk

 Weiser High School’s Lady Wolverine golf team dominated the day at Nampa’s Red Hawk Golf Course in a conference match hosted by McCall-Donnelly.

 The Lady Wolverines shot the day’s low of 198 strokes, with Lucy Hickey winning the first place medalist at 37, and teammate Samantha Kingsbury shooting 43, for the second spot. Fruitland’s Sophia Rynearson was the sole Grizzly on the course, ending the day as the third-place medalist with 50 strokes.

 The Lady Wolverines shot 45 under Cole Valley’s second place 243 stroke finish. McCall scored 249 for third, Homedale was fourth with 254, and Payette finished fifth with a 318 total.

 Team individual scores.

 Wolverines: Hickey 37, Kingsbury 43, Avery Palmer 52, Hannah Grace 60, and Pressley Williams 65.

 Cole Valley: Jenny Jagosh 54, Lexyss Bell 60, McKayla McCann 64, Victoria McDevitt 65, and Evelyn Gates 71.

 McCall-Donnelly: Bisbee Henderson 54, Zoey Dines 60, Grier Govier 65, Maycee Roberts 65, and Lola Goodson 69.

 Homedale: Kennedy Kildow 54, Stella Heck 62, McKenna Murray 66, Karlie Kildow 72, and Miren McGuire 82.

 Payette: Alli Kirkendall 71, Mia Paulil 79, Areeba Samara 83, and Shasta White 84.

 “Lucy played her best round to date this year,” Head Coach Tom Harrison said. “She works very hard and is very deserving of the medalist for this event. Samantha also had her best round of the season, and Avery just continues to improve. Red Hawk is a tough course, and the girls earned it.”
