Fausto Sam Luna Jr.

Fausto Sam Luna Jr. passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2021 peacefully in his sleep.  
 He was born March 12, 1977, the son of Fausto Sam G. Luna Sr. and Maria Elva Luna.
 Sam graduated from high school in 1996 and he met his wife April while bowling. Life had a way of bringing their paths together and soon they started dating.
 They were married on April 26, 2005 and were blessed with two children Kayana and Samantha.  
 Sam also had a son from a previous marriage, Andrew.
 Along with his wife, he is survived by his three children Andrew, Kayana, Samantha, mother Maria Elva, father Fausto Sam G. Luna Sr., two brothers Juan and his wife Alicia, Dan and his wife Trina, many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews, and April’s parents.
 Sam suffered from type 1 diabetes that crippled his health and body, but he didn’t let that stop him from being active.  
 He donated his time to many organizations, volunteered with the Weiser Fire Department, Weiser Police Department, Weiser Ambulance until his disability would not let him.  
 Sam continued to be active in the Boy Scouts of America, but his biggest passion was with the Hunter Education Program. Sam received many awards for his dedication and service to the Hunter Education.  
 Sam loved bowling, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors and he especially loved teaching Hunters Education. Sam never turned down an opportunity to hunt. He would receive lots of requests from friends, kids that he taught in hunters’ education, family and anyone who just wanted to go.  
 Services for Sam will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, 215 E. Indianhead Road, Weiser, Idaho on May 21, at 1 p.m.

 My journey has not ended; it lives on through family and friends.  Do not say good-bye, for I am on a new journey.  I look forward to the day that we can spend time together once again.
