Woman wanted on felony warrant is arrested at residence in Weiser

A Weiser woman wanted on a felony warrant for escaping from authorities at the Payette County Courthouse on Aug. 15 was arrested two days later after she was found hiding under a bed at a residence in Weiser.
 Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Weiser Police Department served a search warrant at about 3 a.m. on Aug. 17 at a residence at Clifford’s trailer park.
 Law enforcement officials were tipped off that fugitive Sarah Frisch was staying at the residence with three other individuals, including her boyfriend and her husband.
 Frisch, 39, had been on the run after escaping from custody in front of the Payette County Courthouse on Aug. 15. She had just attended drug court and was returning to the Washington County Jail in Weiser, where she was serving time on a drug conviction.
 According to the Ontario Argus-Observer newspaper, which first reported the story, Frisch got out of the transport van while it was parked in front of the courthouse.
 She was handcuffed but managed to run into a nearby field. The deputy in charge of the inmates could not give chase but called for assistance. By the time Payette law enforcement officers arrived, Frisch was gone.
 Officers arrested three other individuals who were in the Weiser residence at the time Frisch was apprehended. They include the homeowner Danny May, Frisch’s husband Ryan Frisch and Jessye Miesbauer. The three were charged by prosecutors with willfully concealing or harboring a fugitive.
 May was released on his own recognizance. Ryan Frisch posted $25,000 bond and Miesbauer is in the Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond. All three have pending court dates.
 Sarah Frisch was transported back to Payette County to face the felony escape charge.
 She pleaded guilty to possession of meth in April in Third District Court in Weiser. She was placed on probation and ordered to attend drug court in Payette, according to court records.
