Weiser volleyball has busy schedule on the road

The Lady Wolverines had a busy schedule on the road last week, beginning with a non-conference pairing against the Melba Mustangs on Thursday.  
 The previous match-up of the Wolverines and the Mustangs went to five sets and the Wolverines came up short in grabbing the win.  
 The Lady Wolverines planned for some redemption in the second meeting, but unfortunately couldn’t find a consistent groove and dropped the match in three sets, 22-25, 21-25 and 18-25
Jerome Tournament
 The Lady Wolverines hit the road again on Saturday to the Magic Valley to participate in the Jerome High School Tournament.  
 It was a long day of volleyball, starting with pool play against Ridgeview High School.  
 The Wolverines lost the first set 21-25 but came back to tie the match up 1-1 with a second set 27-25 win. The Lady Wolverines were trailing by 1-point, 5-6, when the time limit on the match was called.
 The Wolverines faced Gooding High School in their next match and handily took the win in straight sets, 25-11 and 25-17.  
 Filer High School was the next team to face the Lady Wolverines, and despite working hard and keeping the sets close, the Wolverines were unable to take the match and lost in straight sets, 23-25 and 21-25.
 The Wolverines finished pool play in third place and were pitted against the host team, Jerome High School, in bracket play.  
 The Lady Wolverines played a great match and won in two sets, 25-20 and 25-8.  
 The final match of the day for the Lady Wolverines was a battle against Lighthouse Christian and resulted in a third set, but the Wolverines were unable to come away with the win and lost the match 12-25, 28-26 and 10-15.
