Weiser residents enjoy 67th Groundhog Feed

A feast held every Feb. 2 at the Community Church in Weiser brings the community together to celebrate the halfway mark of winter and get caught up with friends. The food is pretty good too. Above, Karl Gresehover, left, and Ron Robbins man the grill on Saturday cooking the sausage patties. Leslie Eisenbarth and Arlene Gresehover serve up a hearty meal of sausage patties, mashed potatoes with gravy, veggie and dessert to the hundreds of diners that stopped by for either lunch or dinner. Feb. 2 is celebrated as Groundhog Day across the U.S. This year, Punxsutawney Phil reportedly did not see his shadow, so winter will be short.
