Weiser girls win conference golf match at Payette

The Lady Wolverines continued their winning streak with a first-place finish at the SRV Conference tournament hosted by Payette at Scotch Pines Golf Course on April 24.
 The Weiser girls had a team score of 197 for the round of nine holes and were the only team to finish under 200 shots for the afternoon. The Homedale varsity girls took the runner-up spot with a team score of 211. Payette finished in third place with a score of 246.
 Weiser senior Sara Lundberg won medalist honors again with the low score of the afternoon. She shot a 43 for nine holes. Fruitland’s Hannah Foss carded the second-best round with a score of 45.
 Weiser senior Stella Beams carded a 48 for the round, followed by Sydnee Reyes with a 51 and Faith Lee with a 55. Rounding out the scoring for Weiser, Cianna Fuller carded a 60 for the tournament.
 In the boys division, the Fruitland Grizzlies finished out in front with a team score of 155. Homedale grabbed the runner-up spot with a score of 170 for the tournament. Payette finished in third place with 177 and Weiser was not far behind in fourth place with 189.
 For Weiser, Caden Cramer and Mikaid Wall each shot a 45 for nine holes. Caleb Harris carded a 49 and Abe Konvalin shot a 50. Justin Estes rounded out the scoring for Weiser with a round of 55.
 The Weiser boys and girls JV teams also played at Scotch Pines GC.
 Weiser JV boys scores: Chris Lee (46), Sam Kerner (52), Timmy Reed (58), Max Kingsbury (59) and Rylee Willet (64).
 Weiser JV girls scores: Gabi Palmer (65), Elle Svedin (67), Eileen Froshiesar (68), Lacie Willet (69) and Emmy Thomas (72).
 The Weiser varsity boys golfers were scheduled to play an 18-hole tournament in Baker on Monday.
 Also, on Monday the JV boys and girls were set to play a conference tournament at Rolling Hills Golf Course.
 On Wednesday, both the varsity boys and girls will play in an SRV Conference tournament hosted by Weiser at Rolling Hills GC.
 The SRV District tournament will be held on May 6 and will be hosted by Weiser at Rolling Hills GC.
