Tri-Valley Titan varsity football and volleyball teams suffer losses

Tri-Valley 12

 The Tri-Valley Titans traveled to Council Friday, Sept. 24 to face the Lumberjacks in a beautiful evening for football.
 The Titans struggled to maintain scoring drives against the Lumberjacks, the first quarter ended 8-0 Council.
 The Titans played a good defensive game against a larger Lumberjack squad.
 The Titans were able to manage a touchdown in the second period to end the first half 32-6.
 Tri-Valley fought hard with some injuries but was unable to overcome the Lumberjacks, falling in defeat with a final score of 56-12.  
Volleyball:
Horseshoe Bend
 It was a hard week for the Tri-Valley volleyball team, the Titans facing off against league foe Horseshoe Bend at home Thursday, Sept. 23.
 The Mustangs came out hard and fast to take the first set from the Titans and set them back on their heels. Tri-Valley was unable to recover and went down in three sets.
Council
 The Titans traveled to Council on Friday and were determined to beat the Lumberjacks, but it was not to be, Tri-Valley dropping the first set 25-13. The Titans kept fighting hard against the Lumberjacks with no luck and lost the second set 25-9. The Lumberjacks were relentless in their attack, coupled with good blocking, defeating the Titans 25-23 in the third set.
