Summer football camps scheduled for youth through high school

There is lots coming up as Weiser High School varsity football coach Tom Harrison and assistant coaches direct the summer schedule of football camps leading up to practices for the 2020 season.
 Weiser High School team camp will be held at the WHS practice field for varsity and JV (grades 9-12) from June 29 to July 2.
 The camp will start with no pads June 29-30 and full pads on July 1-2. The sessions start at 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.  
 The cost is $40 to participate. Pads will be issued upon receipt of $40 fee prior to camp throughout June or after camp practice June 29-30.
 Make arrangements with coach Tom Harrison at 208-589-3999 or coach Brad Cordes at 208-550-0467. Players must provide their own water. Social distancing will be followed as much as possible.
 The weight room at WHS is now open. The hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The hours on Tuesday and Thursday are 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Bring your own water bottle.
 Weiser team competition camp. In July, the Weiser team competition starts with other schools in the valley.
 On July 6-10, the competition is against Columbia and Ridgevue varsity and JV. The JV starts at 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., with varsity to follow with full pads. Participants need to bring their own water bottles.
 On July 7-8, no pad practice at 7 p.m.
 On July 9, competition camp will take place at Columbia High School in Nampa versus Columbia and Melba. JV starts at 6:30 p.m. with varsity to follow. Participants need to bring their own water bottle.
 Group football Tuesday and Thursday nights starting June 2 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the WHS practice field. Football pads and equipment will be handed out before or after weights on Monday and Wednesday mornings. No evening practice on June 23 and June 25. Bring your own water bottle.
 Free physicals on July 20 in the auxiliary gym at WHS from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
 Mandatory football practice begins Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon for varsity and JV. Monday and Tuesday are helmets only. Wednesday is helmets and shoulder pads and Thursday is full pads. Players must have 10 practices to be eligible for the first game.
 August football camps. Youth football camp Aug. 10-13 for grades three to six from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the WHS practice field. The cost is $40 and includes T-shirt. Bring water bottle.
 Middle school football camp. Aug. 17-20 for grades seven and eighth from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the WHS practice field. The cost is $40 and includes T-shirt. Bring water bottle.
