Storm blew through on Thanksgiving day

A Thanksgiving storm that blew through Weiser on Thursday night downed this tree on East Galloway Street. According to Weiser police, the resident of the house couldn’t get out when the tree fell on the roof and blocked the entrances. The home did not suffer structural damage in the accident. On Tuesday morning, Shippy Tree Service brought a crane to lift the tree off the home. The high winds also knocked out power to rural Idaho Power customers west of Weiser. Nearly 700 homes west of Weiser lost power for three or so hours. Outages were reported in Ontario and Nyssa, Ore.
