Santa visits Weiser at holiday parade

The only thing better than a spectacular fireworks display is one shared with Santa Claus. Weiser’s downtown corridor was filled with excited parade watchers Friday evening, waiting anxiously for the arrival of the event’s star, Santa Claus. He never disappoints the crowd, leading his followers in a round of Jingle Bells before throwing the magic snowball that lights the city’s tree in front of the historic UPRR train depot. From there, parade-goers were treated to the overhead night sky filling up with fireworks for several minutes, before Santa walked down to Dude’s Kitchen at the Metropole, where he met with children to hear their 2023 Christmas wishes.
