Rescue Dog Adoption Day.

Isaiah Trahan gives Roxy some love at a dog adoption day held on Saturday, Sept. 12. Charlie Prentiss of Dogs With Disabilities Rescue put the event together. Ten dogs were available for adoption and three lucky ones found homes. Prentiss works with Weiser Ordinance Officer Chuck Green, local shelters and some transport groups to help connect dogs with their forever homes. Unchained in New York, Homebound Houndz in Texas, and Idaho Rescue Shelter and Transport are some of the organizations Prentiss deals with. Many of the dogs she re-homes are disabled, such as being blind, deaf, or tri-pods. If you are interested in adopting or volunteering for adoption events you can contact Charlie Prentiss on Facebook or by calling the Weiser Signal American for Prentiss’ contact information.
