Midvale Lions hosting health fair on Saturday

The Midvale Lions Community Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27. It will be held at the VFW Hall in Midvale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission to the health fair is free.
Lions Club members said they are proud to coordinate with various health care agencies around the region to bring health care services, screenings, and information to Midvale.
The Southwest District Health Department will be available to do nitrate screenings on your water supply. Please collect the water sample in a clean container within 24 hours of the health fair and bring it in. They will also have containers and information available regarding complete water testing.
Lions Club members will be onsite to do vision, hearing, and blood pressure screenings.  Weiser Wellness will be providing 15 minute massages for $10.
Surviving Hearts will be onsite with information regarding the help and support they provide to cancer patients.
FirstPlace4Health representative and success story, Pauli, will be available to share information on this Biblical approach to weight loss and overall health management.
Saint Alphonsus mobile mammography will be attending the health fair. Annual mammograms for women are covered by most insurance plans. Anyone who is not insured or underinsured may be able to take advantage of grants available to cover the cost.  To make an appointment with Saint Alphonsus, call (208) 367-3571.
Unfortunately, the agencies that were going to provide flu shots and blood draws have had staffing issues and will not be able to attend this year.
