Marcia Irene Denney, 78, passed away peacefully after as short stay in the hospital and assisted care in Weiser, Idaho.
Marcia was born Jan. 27, 1945 to Earl and Pearl Ramsbottom.
She was born and raised in New Plymoth, Idaho where she attended New Plymouth High School. She was active in FHA and was a librarian during school. She graduated from New Plymouth High School in 1963.
After graduation, Marcia moved to Weiser and started work at Idaho First National Bank, where she became very successful. Marcia became one of the first women loan officers in the Idaho First National Bank System. Marcia worked in the same building for 40 years, helping people with their banking and loan needs.
Marcia, met the love of her life, Samuel A. Denney. They were married in 1966. Together, they loved camping and exploring new areas. They traveled thousands of miles exploring all parts of the Northwest enjoying the wildlife and nature.
Marcia also loved watching the garden grow. She and Sam always had a great garden full of tomatoes and radishes! Marcia loved cats. ALL cats and often fed the whole neighborhood. She did have one very special cat, named Clyde, who was her watch “dog.”
Marcia was a part of the bowling league for over 30 years, if you didn’t find her at home, she was sure to be bowling. She was the secretary/treasurer of the league for most of her years.
Marcia was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Samuel A. Denney, her mother, Pearl Eva Fulton Ramsbottom, her father, Earl Ramsbottom, and her brother, Donald Ramsbottom. Also, by her sister-in-law, Ellen Denney Potter, and husband Milford Potter; sister-in-law, Melva Denney Mock, and husband John Mock.
She leaves behind her brother-in-law, Lawerence Denney, and wife Donna. Special nephew, Rocky Sherman and wife Laurel, special niece, Jennifer Uhlenkott, and husband Dan as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
