Letter: Noise from music festival went on and on into wee hours

Editor:
Concerning the Weiser Music Festival (that is held
down by the river off Highway 95).
I would like to see this
festival either moved or shut
down by 10 p.m. Bands were
to play until 2 a.m. On Saturday
night they did not stop
until 2:54 a.m.
I know that for a fact because
I could not sleep the
two nights they played and
was up staring at the clock.
Not only did I keep my
windows closed, which I
don’t want to have to do during
the summer, but I also
tried playing some soft music
on my phone to drown out the
boom boom boom of their
bass. It did not work.
Earplugs hurt my ears and
it’s not fair that I should have
to do this. I have a 7-year-old grandson and I would like to see him get a good night’s sleep also.
I live on Day Road and the festival sounded like it was coming from my front yard. Please be considerate of the older mature people who are not night owls and need their sleep.
