John Victor Evans

 John Victor Evans, 80, of Des Moines, Wash., passed away on July 27, 2023 of natural causes.

 John was born Feb. 5, 1943 in Midvale, Idaho to Evelyn Alice Hopper and Elvin Evans. 

 He attended Midvale School, graduating in 1961. Afterward he relocated to Boise where he met Kathryn Sammons – they wed and raised six children, Mikel, Laura, Eric, Kevin, Aaron, and Katrina.

 John will always be remembered as someone with a boundless curiosity for how things worked, and an uncanny ability to fix them when they didn’t.  

 He will be remembered for his humility, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to family.  

 Perhaps most of all, he’ll be remembered for the lessons he taught to those closest to him, not through words, but by the example he always set.

 He is survived by his six children, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Stephen, and sisters Karen and Eleanor.
