Home on Krause Road heavily damaged in early morning fire

A vacant house that appeared to be undergoing remodeling on Krause Road was heavily damaged by fire early Tuesday morning.

 The Weiser Area Rural Fire Department was dispatched at 4:31 a.m. When fire crews arrived, the house was engulfed in flames.

 WARFD Fire Chief Tim Atwood said the house was a total loss. He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

 Weiser City Fire and Rescue and Payette Fire were requested to respond to a mutal aid call.
