Harvey Leroy Green

 Harvey Leroy Green, 95, of Weiser, Idaho passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 at St. Alphonsus hospital.  

 Services were under the direction of Lienkaemper-Thomason Funeral Centers and were held Friday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. at Thomason Funeral Home.  

 Roy was born Sept. 13, 1929 in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Lena and Pete Green.  Roy grew up in Bayard, Neb. and the surrounding area.

 In 1950, Roy married the love of his life Dorothy Taylor in Scottsbluff, Neb. 

 They had three children Debra Jean and Vicki Lee born in Portland, Ore. and Tamara Lynn born in Scottsbluff, Neb.  

 Later they settled in Weiser, Idaho where Roy began his career in farming.

 Roy won lots of farming awards; he taught his girls how to work and treated his wife like a Queen. He loved “his” girls. Roy Green was one in a million; a friend to all. He not only raised his own daughters but helped raise their children. He was also known to help raise many other children around Weiser.  

 He was often called Papa G. Dad loved fishing, camping, spending time with his family and friends. Roy will be greatly missed for his humor and love of life.

 Roy is survived by his wife of 75 years Dorothy, daughter Debra (husband Sid), daughter Vicki and daughter Tamra, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  

 Roy was preceded in death by his parents and was the last of his eight siblings.
